Punto Fibbia has been a leading company in the creation of metal fashion accessories for footwear, leather goods and fashions for Italian and export markets for over 50 years. It manufactures zamak, brass and plastic accessories and buckles, jewelled buckles with stones and crystals, and also bags and belts for private labels. Over the years a commercial line has been added to sell components for the footwear and leather goods industries.
Punto Fibbia is a family-run concern, founded in 1970 by Ildebrando Moretti, who was joined in the 1990s by daughters, Romina and Francesca, who are currently in charge of sales, manufacture and administration.
The idea that led to the creation of Punto Fibbia was to make the most of the important opportunity to enter a market in the footwear and leather goods industries, which at that point, was still relatively unknown.
During the early years of the company, it was relatively easy to manage a small business which offset some of the problems met in acquiring initial market shares.
At the end of the 1980s, the company established its initial relations with export markets, entering into Europe and the rest of the world.
